retail therapy

Shopping in Delhi is a lot of fun, given the variety of things you can browse through and buy from the different kinds of shopping outlets you visit. We have a strict ‘no mall’ policy… so our tour includes quaint boutiques to road side bargaining, from residential shops to open air bazaars. We include a bit of historical sightseeing & trying out Indian eateries.
This tour will be customised depending on what you need to pickup.

Shop Shop Shop. As the saying goes shop till you drop dead!
Get lost in the maze of street shops, learn the art of bargaining the dilli-way, enter the gallis (alleys) to track down the hidden traders, take a break-bite with Delhi’s street food & continue the shopping journey.

At the end of the day you would have a bag full of eclectic goodies, trinkets, souvenirs (at dirt cheap prices) that would make everyone happy back home. After all, paying a little for excess baggage is worth the while.

The experience ends with some food to feed the hungry belly.

Where. There are several shopping areas in Delhi catering to different tastes – from designer outlets to street vendors, from fixed price tags to bargaining prices, from clothes to home décor to jewellery to carpets to spices. Depends on what your heart desires we will create a special itinerary for you.

Mix it with a bit of history. As we wander the streets we also show you historical sights and landmarks that we come across. We go a little beyond just retail therapy.

  • Wear appropriate shoes as there will be walking & climbing of stairs
  • We would advise you to wear comfortable but conservative clothing
  • Carry a hat, sunglasses & sun protection lotion especially in the summer months
  • Duration upto 6 hours
  • Experience includes: an air-conditioned car that picks and drops you from your hotel; bottled water and munchies available in the car; local expert from the city; lunch

It made all the difference. We couldnt be more satisfied with Delhi Way Tours. Our guide was Nisha who brought us on a shopping tour and we had such fun being taken to a wholesale fabric shop in Wedding Lane in Chandni Chowk, a silver jewellery place and to buy pashminas. Nisha also took us on a sightseeing tour, her restaurant recommendations were superb especially Parsi food in Khan Market. She helped us to bargain, enlightened us with her clear and concise descriptions of each sight and shepharded us through Delhi. We would not have enjoyed Delhi as much without Nisha and are looking forward to our next visit.

Good for single woman travelers. The Delhi Way is run by two women who offer tours of Delhi and elsewhere. I had an excellent half day tour and a full day tour. My shopping tour was so much fun – they tailor-made it to what I wanted to pick up and very good choice of outlets – shopping with another woman is always more fun. Its a good option for single women travelers who want to feel comfortable exploring Delhi.

More than a shopping tour

We had a fascinating and rewarding day with Divya from The Delhi Way for what was billed as a shopping tour, but which was so much more. We spent most of the morning soaking up the atmosphere of Old Delhi while being expertly guided by Divya through various markets and alleyways. This included visiting a very old and beautifully decorated Jain temple. We then had lunch in an excellent South Indian vegetarian restaurant in the Defence Colony, and finished the day with some serious shopping where Divya helped us buy all the things we were after, including pashminas, rugs, paintings, tablecloths etc.
