From the dynasties that ruled over Delhi, the cities that were created & abandoned to today’s Delhi that sits in the midst of centuries old heritage.
Shahjahanabad. A visit to the capital city of the Mughals that houses the enigmatic palace built by Emperor Shahjahan in the 17th century and the royal mosque Jama Masjid.
Discover the alleys of the old city. A ride on the rickshaw that swirls in & out of the narrow alleys & colorful bazaars.
Offer a prayer. Visit places of worship from the Jain temple to Jama Masjid.
Spice market. A look at the spice market with a few tips on the Indian spices & tea.
From Old Delhi to New Delhi. We visit 2 off the beaten track sites not frequented by many.
Get a bite. Take a break, try out the Indian grub, have chai & taste the famous desi sweets.
Bazaars. Browse around the local bazaars.
Colonial Delhi. Drive through the political powerhouses – Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House & India Gate.
Religion. A round of the Sikh temple (Gurudwara), learn the history behind the temple and a little about the Sikhs, the warrior class. Also a peek into the community kitchen to see how the food is prepared.
